I know many of you know how to multiply numbers already. However, I want you to be able to EXPLAIN why multiplication works the way it does. One way we can do this is by multiplying using partial products. Watch the video and then complete the KWL. Be sure to EXPLAIN what you already know about partial products, ask at least one question, and EXPLAIN what you learned (if you already knew everything- then summarize what the video said). You must have complete and specific answers to play the game in class tomorrow. If you want a head start on the game and you are on a computer, you can go to this website to play: http://bbc.in/1zojVZt (it will not work on an I-pad).

Homework- 10/23
Students should review their notes for the genre test tomorrow (or Monday, if there is no school tomorrow). Here is also a video that they may watch to help them review. I am also putting up two math videos that students should watch (if it is written in their planner) to help them with comparing decimals. They should also complete a KWL. If it is not written in their planner, then that student already knows how to compare decimals and is ready to move on in math.
